How to Remove the Drip Shield on a Propane Grill

- 1). Turn off the main gas valve on the propane tank. Turn the valve handle clockwise to shut off the gas supply. Allow the propane grill to cool completely before removing the drip shields.
- 2). Open the propane grill lid cover. Pull the cooking grates out of the grill.
- 3). Grab the drip shield at its sides with your hands. Push the drip shield to one side of the grill if you have a shield that connects to each side. If your shields connect front to back, push the shield toward the rear of the grill.
- 4). Lift the end of the drip shield that is disconnected from the grill and pull the drip shield out of the grill. Depending upon your grill, you might have up to four separate drip shields.
