How to Remove Yellow Stains From Floor Tile

    • 1). Sweep the floor with a broom to remove loose dirt, dust and grime particles.

    • 2). Fill a clean mop pail with 1 gallon of hot water. Add 1 cup of white vinegar to the hot water. Thoroughly mix the solution to dissolve the vinegar.

    • 3). Fill another clean mop pail with 1 gallon of warm water, for rinsing.

    • 4). Dampen a sponge mop in the vinegar solution. Scrub an affected tile with the mop until the yellow stains are completely removed.

    • 5). Dampen clean cotton cloth in the warm rinse water. Wipe the tile with the warm water to rinse away the vinegar solution and wax residue.

    • 6). Clean the remaining stained tiles using the same process. Focus on one tile at a time. Frequently refill the vinegar solution to prevent reapplying dirty water to the floor.

    • 7). Wipe all tiles with clean terry cloth towels until the floor is completely dry.
