How to Remove Tape From a Hardwood Floor

    • 1). Soak a clean rag in warm, soapy water.

    • 2). Point a blow dryer at the tape and turn it on. Heat the area for approximately one to two minutes.

    • 3). Wring out the warm, soapy rag and use it to rub up the tape and residue.

    • 4). Apply a few drops of baby oil to a clean, dry cloth if you still have some tape or residue remaining, and rub the cloth over the area until it is free of tape and residue.

    • 5). Clean the floor as you normally would.
