How to Clean a Jenn Air Grill
- 1). Turn off the grill and allow to cool completely before attempting to clean.
- 2). Pull up on the knobs once they are in the "Off" position to remove the knobs from the grill. Clean with a few drops of dishwashing liquid and warm water and rinse well. Dry thoroughly and push back into place on the grill. Wipe down the control knob area with a clean, damp cloth.
- 3). Wipe down the cooktop area with a clean cloth dipped in a mixture of dishwashing liquid and warm water. Follow with a clean, damp cloth. Use Soft Scrub cleanser for tough spills or stains.
- 4). Lift off the grill element and clean the basin with warm soapy water. Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Use Soft Scrub cleanser for tough soils or burnt-on residue.
- 5). Pour 1/3 cup hot tap water with 1 tsp. dishwashing liquid down the grease drain to clean the drain and prevent blockages.
- 6). Set the grill grate in a large sink and wash with warm water, dishwashing liquid and a soft cleaning sponge. The grate can also be washed in the dishwasher. Avoid using metal brushes or abrasive scouring pads. Apply an oven cleaner for burnt-on debris and allow to sit overnight. Follow by cleaning with warm soapy water and rinse well. Dry the grates and replace on the grill.
