How to Remove the Top of a Frigidaire Dryer
- 1). Unplug the Frigidaire dryer from the wall outlet and move the dryer two feet from the rear wall.
- 2). Locate the screw on each end of the control console, securing the console to the dryer top. Remove the screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Lift the front of the control console and rotate the console toward the back of the dryer.
- 3). Remove the three hex head screws that secure the rear of the top panel to the dryer with a nut driver. The three screws will be on the top rear edge of the top panel.
- 4). Grab the top panel on each side and slide the panel forward. This will release the front spring clips that secure the front of the top panel to the dryer. Lift the top panel off the dryer and set the panel out of the way.
- 1). Unplug thepower cord from the dryer outlet. Pull the dryer four feet from the rear wall. The top panel will slide off the dryer from the rear of the dryer.
- 2). Remove the two screws that secure the top panel to the rear of the dryer with a Phillips-head screwdriver. The screws will be on the rear edge of the top panel.
- 3). Slide the top panel toward the rear wall until the front and side clips disengage from the panel. Lift the top panel off the dryer and out of your way.
