How to Remove Mold From a Gasket on My Neptune Washer
- 1). Turn off the Maytag Neptune washer and remove any laundry.
- 2). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of water and 1/3 cup of chlorine bleach. Put on the gloves and open the door to the washing machine.
- 3). Dip a cloth into the bleach solution and wring it out. Thoroughly wipe the gray door seal/gasket with the cloth. Pull back the seal and clean underneath if necessary. Rinse the cloth in the bucket and continue cleaning until all traces of mold are gone. Allow the bleach to sit for five minutes.
- 4). Wipe the gasket with a dry cloth. Leave the door open until the gasket thoroughly air dries.
