- 1). Fill your sink with one part bleach and one part water a few inches deep. If you do not want bleach in your sink, fill a bucket with one part bleach and one part water.
- 2). Put on the rubber gloves to avoid contact with the bleach, with can be harsh on skin.
- 3). Lay your rubber mat in the sink filled with bleach water. Otherwise place the mat in the bucket filled with bleach water.
- 4). Leave your mat soaking in the bleach for one hour. Scrub any visible mold or mildew spots with the brush.
- 5). Empty your sink or bucket of the bleach water. Rinse the mat with warm water.
- 6). Hang the mat over the edge of the sink and let dry thoroughly.
