How to Remove Oil From Wood Furniture

    • 1). Wipe down the wood furniture with the dusting cloth in an oval motion in the direction of the wood's grain, recommends the American Hardwood Information Center. The dusting cloth should be made of lint-free cotton such as flannel, cheesecloth or a T-shirt.

    • 2). Scoop a quarter-size amount of paste from the furniture paste and buff into the wood furniture.

    • 3). Wipe off the excess paste and allow the paste to dry. The AHIC states paste lasts from six months to a year and is recommended to prevent furniture warping caused by moisture exposure.
