How to Clean Tile Grout in a Large Area

    • 1). Fill a water pitcher with 2 quarts of warm water. Add 1 cup of powdered oxygen bleach, and stir until the bleach has completely dissolved.

    • 2). Pour the solution carefully onto the floor to cover the grout lines. You may need to refill the pitcher depending on the size of the area you are cleaning.

    • 3). Check the floor after 15 minutes, and add more cleaning solution if the grout has become dry.

    • 4). Scrub the grout with a scrub brush 30 minutes after you first applied the bleach solution to the grout. Pour additional solution onto any stubborn stains, and keep scrubbing until they have been removed.

    • 5). Mop the floor with clean water to rinse away all of the bleach solution.
