- 1). Let the wax cool completely. Wiping it up while it is still soft may remove most of it, but it will likely press it deeper into the carpet, and will leave a thin film that will be harder to remove.
- 2). Pick off as much of the cooled wax as possible with your fingers.
- 3). Put a piece of ice in a zip-top bag, and seal it.
- 4). Press the ice over the wax until the wax is very hard.
- 5). Scrape off the wax with the back of a metal spoon or the edge of a credit card. Do not use a sharp object that could cut through the wall carpet.
- 6). If there is still residue on the wall carpet, place a piece of parchment paper over the wax.
- 7). Iron over the area with an iron on medium heat. Iron until the wax has completely transferred to the paper. Do not use waxed paper, as this will simply melt more wax onto the wall carpet.
- 8). Remove the paper, and let the carpet cool completely.
