How to Make a Fireplace Potpourri Bundle
- 1). Cut a 6-inch square out of the brown paper bag. You can make the square any size you choose. If giving as gifts cut out a small rectangle approximately 1-inch by 2-inch for the gift tag. Hole punch one corner of the gift tag.
- 2). Add any combination of scented items you wish to the middle of one square brown paper. You can combine the dried orange peel and cloves and cinnamon or rosemary with the small pine cones or just some lavender. Get creative and try different scented items.
- 3). Pull up the four corners of the square of paper and twist to enclose the scented items. Tie with a piece of raffia or twine. If giving as a gift tie on one of the gift tags to the raffia or twine. Write on the tag what is inside the scented bundle.
- 4). Repeat steps 1 through 3 if you're making several potpourri bundles.
- 5). Place the bundles in a decorative basket next to your fireplace or wood stove to be thrown in on a cold wintry night. Or tie to the outside of a present. use as a stocking stuffer, or give out as little gifts when you have guest over.
