Cool Christmas Gifts for a Ten-Year-Old Girl

    Interests and Hobbies

    • Choose something that goes along with the child's current interests or hobby. This shows her that you are paying attention and want to help and be involved in what she loves. For example, a 10-year-old soccer player might love to get tickets to a big game or a workshop taught by well-known players. She might also like new equipment or her favorite team's jersey. This could apply to any sport that your daughter plays. For the dancer, you could buy tickets to a show or install a dance bar and mirrors in the house. The point is to look at what she likes to do and select things that involve her interests.

    Spa and Shopping Day

    • Who doesn't like to be pampered? Treat your 10-year-old daughter to a day at a spa and make her feel like the young lady she is becoming. Give her a manicure and a facial and then take her on a shopping spree. Afterward, take her to dinner in one of her new outfits. To give this as a Christmas gift, make up a little card detailing the event and put a card from the spa in the box. Set it up for no more than a few days after Christmas so that it still feels like a Christmas present.

    Popular Stuffed Animal

    • Ten-year-old girls want to be treated as older kids, but they still cling to some of their old loves as well. Most of them still love stuffed animals. You usually can't go wrong if you give her one, especially if it is new and gets a lot of television advertising, such as the pillow pets in 2010.

    Latest Electronics

    • Electronics are big with 10-year-olds and include everything from laptops and netbook computers to music storage devices and cell phones. Your daughter will dote on you for quite a while if you get her the latest electronic device that allows her to connect with her friends or listen to music. And if the device comes with a built-in camera, you'll really score big. As of 2010, popular products include Apple iPods and iPhones. Before giving these gifts, however, make sure your daughter understands the implications and knows how to use the items safely.

    Girly Stuff

    • Don't forget the girly stuff. Any girl would love a real make up set at the age of 10. You could also set her up with every hair bow and hair accessory known to man in a storage box with a new brush. Or, create an accessories box with hats, gloves, belts and other items that she can use when she is getting dressed.
