Coconut Oil Health Benefits for Our Body
I can remember when coconut oil was always claimed that it was bad for your health.
Of course, back then, they never mentioned anything about how the oil was processed as to whether it was good or bad for you.
Any hydrogenated oil, including coconut is bad for you, it adds to your bad LDL cholesterol.
Now when you go to pure, virgin, organic, non-processed (no high heat processing), non-hydrogenated coconut oil health benefits are many.
Kevin Trudeau claims that it helps you lose weight, lower cholesterol and about 5 or 6 other things that it does for your body.
I have not found all the research to say just that, but he very easily could be correct.
What I have found in my reading is that taking at least 2 tablespoons of organic coconut (the good stuff) oil per day can help you prevent Alzheimer's disease and make you generally healthier.
I found research done by Dr.
Mary Newport, whose husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at a fairly early age...
in his 50's I believe.
She couldn't let him go at that early age so she started looking into different studies that he possibly could qualify for.
He didn't qualify for the studies but the product they were attempting to be a subject for was derived from coconut oil.
They decided to try it themselves.
The major coconut oil health benefit is the keytones, they not only stopped his progression but also brought back some of the skills that he had lost.
Is he completely himself again as before the onset of Alzheimer's disease? No he is not, but he is so much better that they stick to the oil in his diet.
He is taking at least 4 to 5 tablespoons of oil per day.
If he doesn't get the oil when he needs it, he does tend to slip backwards a little until he gets it into his system.
You might be asking...
wouldn't I gain weight by eating that much oil? Isn't this oil fattening? Coconut oil has about the same amount of calories that other oils have; the difference is that this oil doesn't get stored in our body as fat like the other oils do.
Our bodies need the coconut oil health benefits.
I am trying to lose weight and in spite of the fact that I am eating 2 pieces of coconut "fudge" oil every day I am losing weight.
I feel good too!
