How to Do a Black Light Pep Rally
- 1). Distribute flyers a week before the black light pep rally, instructing students to wear black clothing. Permit white lettering or white clothing as well. Students might have the option, for example, to wear white letters spelling out "Seniors" or "Sophomores."
- 2). Blacken out the windows in the pep rally area and lay dark sheets over the seating. You want to create a dark atmosphere.
- 3). Set up black lights in the entryway near the stage and scatter them through the area. Replace the lights with black lights, if possible. The more black lights you use, the more effect they will have.
- 4). Have the cheerleaders wear white uniforms, or black clothing with white shoes and gloves. Give glow sticks both to them and the crowd. Have the cheerleaders center all cheers and routines upon the black light theme (such as "blacking out" the competition).
