How to Make an Adult Mummy Costume
- 1). Wash and dry the pants and shirt.
- 2). Cut the fabric into six-inch-long by two-inch-wide strips. The exact number of strips you need depends on the size of the adult. Start with 50 strips.
- 3). Spread the fabric strips onto a flat surface that can be stained. The best would be a deck or sidewalk.
- 4). Fill the spray bottle with tea. Spray the strips with the tea. Spray some areas more than others to create contrast. Leave the strips to dry.
- 5). Sew the strips onto the outside of the pants and shirts. Sew the strips horizontally. Wrap strips around sleeves and pants legs. You can leave the ends of some strips loose to add to the look.
