Video: How to Add Bullets & Numbers on a Mac

Video Transcript

Hi, I'm Omar and I'm a Programmer. A lot of people that are new to Mac sometimes asks me, "How do I insert a bullet or a number on a Mac?" "Or, how do I do bullets and numbering on a Mac?" Because on Microsoft Word and Windows X, Windows XP or 7, they would just have an option on the top tool bar to just add numbers and bullets. But, in, on the Mac, you might not have Microsoft Office; so how would you go ahead and manually add a bullet? So, on a Mac it's actually fairly simple. You just press option 8. As you can see, I'll go ahead and press option 8 and a bullet pops up. And I'll just type something and on the next line, I'll put option 8 and I can put another bullet. I can do the same thing with numbers. Another thing you can do is go to file, I mean edit and special characters and under punctuation, you have a whole bunch of bullets that you can add. You can add big one or a small one, or any special character that you want. I'm Omar, and I just showed you how to add bullets and numbering on a Mac. Have a good day.
