How to Remove Hard Drive in a Toshiba Satellite 1800

- 1). Turn off your Toshiba Satellite and unplug the power cable from the port in the side of the computer. Close the laptop and turn it over.
- 2). Use the battery release tab to unlock the rectangular battery and remove it from the compartment on the bottom of the computer.
- 3). Remove the single screw on the hard drive compartment. The hard drive compartment is located on the left side of the battery bay.
- 4). Grip the hard drive by its end on the side of the computer and gently pull the hard drive out of the computer. The old hard drive is now removed and you may replace it with a new one if need be.
