- 1). Turn off the Solo 2550.
- 2). Disconnect the power cord and any external devices.
- 3). Turn the Solo 2550 over.
- 4). Locate and remove the battery.
- 5). Locate the RAM compartment panel near the empty battery port.
- 6). Remove the screw from the RAM compartment panel. Lift the panel to open the underside of the laptop.
- 1). Turn off the Solo 2550.
- 2). Disconnect the power cord and any external devices.
- 3). Turn the Solo 2550 over and remove the battery.
- 4). Remove the two screws now visible in the empty battery port.
- 5). Turn the 2550 over and open the display.
- 6). Wedge a flathead screwdriver into the hinge cover between the keyboard and the display at the top of the computer.
- 7). Pry gently until the hinge cover is loose.
- 8). Remove the hinge cover and set it aside.
- 9). Remove the two screws now visible beneath the hinge cover.

Pry the edge of the keyboard up with the flathead screwdriver. - 11
Pull the keyboard up and rotate it 180 degrees until it rests on the touch pad and the Solo 2550 is open.
