How to Make Fondant More Wet

    • 1). Knead the fondant to check the consistency. Fondant is supposed to be dry, not gooey or wet. However, if you notice cracks in the fondant, then it is too dry.

    • 2). Spread a liberal amount of confectioners sugar on a flat surface. Lay the fondant on the confectioners sugar, and create a depression in the center.

    • 3). Pour one teaspoon of water into the depression. Knead the water into the fondant thoroughly. If you still notice any cracks, continue to add 1/2 teaspoon of water at a time. Always knead the water into the fondant before adding more.

    • 4). The fondant can be applied to a cake, once it is thick like dough and smooth in consistency.
