- Sunflower seed oil contains 5.5 mg of vitamin E per tablespoon -- 28 percent of the daily recommended value, which is more than any other vegetable oil. It also contains trace amounts of vitamin K.
- Sunflower seed oil has less saturated fat than other vegetable oils. A tablespoon of sunflower seed oil contains 1.2 g saturated fat, or 6 percent of the daily recommended value.
- Most of the fats found in sunflower seed oil come in the more healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated varieties: 7.7 and 3.9 g per tablespoon, respectively.
