Author of Faces of Hope Seeks Subjects for New Book
Ten years after September 11, 2001, author aims to compile poignant stories of children born the day of the attacks

PITTSBURGH, February 15, 2011 - Christine Pisera Naman, the author of Faces of Hope: Babies Born on 9/11, which features photographs of children born on September 11, 2001, announces she is working on a new book to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of that tragic day. The new project will again feature children who were born on September 11, 2001, but this time, Naman will include their firsthand thoughts, ideas and reflections on having been born on an historic day. Naman is seeking children born on September 11, 2001, and their parents who would like to be included in her book.

Naman's first book, Faces of Hope, recently received heightened national attention when President Barack Obama discussed it in the speech he delivered in Tucson, Arizona, for the victims of the shooting that occurred there on January 8, 2011. One of the six victims who were fatally shot in Tucson was nine-year-old Christina Taylor-Green, who incidentally was born on September 11, 2001, and had been featured in Naman's Faces of Hope in 2002.

With Christina Taylor-Green's tragic young death and the tragedies that Americans continue to endure, Naman wants to create a book that is hopeful for a nation that has changed immensely in the 10 years since 2001. The 10 year anniversary of 9/11/01 should serve as a reminder of Naman's original goal with her first book: even on the most tragic of days, there is good in life that shines through the joy in a child's eyes.
A percentage of the proceeds from the new book will be donated to charity. If you have or know a child who was born on September 11, 2001, and would like to be contacted to discuss their inclusion in Christine Pisera Naman's new book, please contact her at cpnfacesofhope@aol.com.
