How to Get a Robot Voice to Say Your "About Me" on MySpace

    • 1). Type your "About Me" into the speech synthesizer program. Plenty are available on the market and can be exported as an audio file. FL Studio is a software synthesizer program that contains a speech plug-in. TextAloud and NaturalReader are built for the sole sake of creating speech files.

    • 2). Save your speech file as a WAV, MP3 or AIF file depending on what format your speech synthesizer supports. These are three common file formats that MySpace will accept when uploading music or other audio files.

    • 3). Create your MySpace band profile. These specific profiles are built to schedule concerts, tell people about your band and share your music with the world, which is the feature you will be exploiting. Use a second email address to create this file; MySpace only permits one profile per email address. Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail all offer free new email accounts. Include personal information if you wish; you aren't violating any terms of usage by having a second MySpace profile for music.

    • 4). Upload your audio file to your MySpace band profile. Click on "Edit Profile," then "Upload And Manage Songs" and finally "Upload Songs." Find your audio file on your computer and select it to transfer a copy to your MySpace account. Once it has fully uploaded, you may name the file. Name it "about me." Make the song public by clicking the gray circle next to your song on the list of uploaded material and log out of the band profile.

    • 5). Log into your personal MySpace profile and visit your band profile. The "about me" should now be premiered in the song player. Next to it should be a button shaped like a plus sign that lets you add the audio file to your personal profile. Click on it and go back to your personal page. When viewed, your personal profile should either now auto-play the "about me" audio file or the visitor will have to select and press play on your music playlist, depending on your personal settings.
