How to Hook Up Multiple Devices to a Projector TV
- 1). Turn off and unplug your projector. Turn the device around to access its various ports. Disconnect any devices connected to the projector, if any devices are connected, and sit the cables to the side.
- 2). Place a video selector A/B switch box next to the projector. Plug the connector end of a High-Definition Multimedia Interface and Digital Visual Interface cable into the "HDMI Out" and "DVI Out" port on the side of the video selector A/B device.
- 3). Plug the HDMI and DVI cables' other connector ends into the "HDMI In" and "DVI In" port on the back of the projector.
- 4). Plug the connector end of a S-video cable into the "S-video Out" port on the side of the video selector A/B device. Plug the other connector end of the S-video cable into the "S-video" port on the back of the projector.
- 5). Plug the connector end of a white, red and yellow composite cable into the corresponding color "RCA," "Composite" or similar ports on the side of the video selector A/B device.
- 6). Plug the composite cables' other connector ends into the corresponding color "RCA," "Composite" or similar ports on the back of the projector.
- 1). Place the devices you want to connect to the projector next to the video selector A/B device -- DVD player, VCR, cable or satellite converter box or other devices.
- 2). Plug each of the devices' cables into the corresponding "In" ports on the sides of the video selector A/B device. For example, if connecting the DVD player to the device, plug the cables connected to the DVD player into the ports marked "DVD Video In" or something similar on the side of the video selector A/B device.
- 3). Repeat step 2 for each device you want to connect to the video selector A/B device.
- 4). Plug in, turn around and turn on the projector, video selector A/B device and all devices connected to the A/B device. Press the "VCR," "Cable" or other button on the front of the A/B device to select from which device you want the projector to accept programming.
