How to Use Compact Fluorescent Bulbs in Digital Photography
- 1). Position your photo subject in the position and area that you would like to frame the photograph.
- 2). Set up your lighting devices. Place one on each side of the subject. Add a central key light if you require more lighting to highlight the subject.
- 3). White balance the camera to adjust to the CFL light bulbs. Bring the camera close to the subject. Place the white paper in a position in front of the camera so that it fills the entire viewfinder of the digital camera. Press the white balance "WB" button on the camera. The location of the "WB" button will depend on the model of camera that you are using. The camera will automatically adjust its color sensors to the new lighting and the photo will come out with a balanced color and lighting scheme.
- 4). Remove the white paper from it's position in front of the camera.
- 5). Go to the distance from which you would like to take the picture of your subject. Place the camera on a tripod if needed.
- 6). Snap the photo. Adjust the focus, aperture, and ISO of the camera if necessary.
