Natural Food Sources

It seem like every day a new nutrient is "discovered" by scientist and within months, it is added to nutritional formulas.
Of course the nutrient existed all along.
Scientist just didn't know about it.
For millions of years, life has developed from natural food sources that contain not only vital nutrients, but also the co-factors and catalysts necessary for their assimilation.
It will probably take centuries for scientist to completely understand and duplicate the nutrient complexity of mother Nature's handicraft.
How much money do you think the resulting pill will cost?.
Research found that many naturally occurring cancer preventing substances cannot be duplicated by vitamins supplements.
A recent articles in the Townsend letter for Doctors and patients explained, "each vitamins is actually a group of chemically related compounds.
By separating the vitamin 'group' into single, incomplete vitamin portions, the vitamin is then converted from a physiological biochemical active micronutrient into a disable, debilitated of little or no value to living cells".
Common sense tells us that the best way to get our vitamins is to consume nutritious whole food.
Whole foods contain nutrients plus all of the necessary co-factors and catalysts to help them function.
Nutrients that have been isolated and synthesized like pharmaceutical are separated from these co-factor and catalysts so the body has a harder time assimilating them.
Scientist and health practitioners agree that nutritional supplements should come from food or food concentrates where vitamin complexes are intact and the nutrients retain their functional integrity.
Unfortunately, most people don't consume enough healthy food to supply the necessary doses of nutrients they need daily.
"Chances are less than 1 in 100 that your current diet is providing you with RDA levels of every necessary nutrient!"
