Use a food processor and chop the raisins until fine. Preheat the over to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment and toast the almonds 5 - 8 minutes until just golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool.

Use a mixer and cream the softened butter, egg, sugar and molasses. Combine the wheat flour, wheat germ, milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Blend the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.

Stir in the raisins and quick oats. Mix well. Stir in half the almonds, if desired.

Coat the 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Spread the mixture evenly into the pan and press down. Top with the remaining toasted almonds.

Bake for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool completely. Cut into bars and wrap each individually.
