- 1). Empty the Shop-Vac's tank after every cleanup. This prevents debris from sitting for tool long inside the machine and plugging the filters and hose.
- 2). Clean the vacuum's filters routinely. The Shop-Vac has a ribbed inner filter and an outer paper filter. The outer filter is meant to be replaced often while the inner filter can be cleaned with soapy water. Damaged filters can be replaced by purchasing new ones online or at your local hardware store.
- 3). Inspect the Shop-Vac's hose for obstructions. Rinse the hose and other Shop-Vac accessories out with water.
