Fasting - Is Fasting the Best Choice For Health and Fat-Loss?

Intermittent fasting has been receiving a lot of publicity as part of the new intermittent fasting movement.
So what is it all about and is it really, as claimed, the fastest way to lose weight and ensure good health? What is intermittent fasting? Basically, this involves periods of not eating (from 16 hours to several days) followed by an eating window.
For example, one well-known nutritionist recommends 24 fasting cycles once or twice a week depending on experience and aims.
Why is this a smart way to eat? There are several advantages to this sort of diet.
1: You are cleansing your body and giving it the opportunity to heal itself and work efficiently, something which is increasing rare in the modern world.
2: You can eat normally (within reason-burger and fries is never a good food choice) during your eating window.
Eating until you are not hungry is extremely important psychologically on a diet.
3: You avoid fat-loss plateaus and can continue to lose weight regularly and long-term.
4: You can adapt your fasting periods to your lifestyle rather than being obliged to live and work around your diet.
Is this complicated? Do I need to count calories This is a simple way of planning your food.
Firstly, when fasting you do not need to worry about food at all, and then when eating there is no need to count every calorie that you eat.
Your body is an amazing machine and if you let it, it will tell you when and what to eat.
