Begin by filling the pot until it reaches the first hole. At this point, plant your first strawberry plant in the hole. When purchasing guaranty they were treated in the inside with a waterproofing agent or acrylic so they will not break down after one to two seasons.
- Plastic pots are lightweight and might topple over in the wind, but they are less expensive. Plastic planters are easy to turn around to catch the sun and easy to move to different parts of the garden once the season is over. They also have a lot of space for growing and quite often come with the extra-added benefits like built-in filter netting which prevents soil from running out the bottom.
- Ceramic are glazed pots and are next to terra cotta pots in artistry, but they succeed in performance by retaining more water and are usually treated with a waterproofing agent.
