Vegetarians and the Candida Diet - Eating More Simple Carbs

A woman requested me advices in what can be done for vegetarians in their candida diet.
She has been recently diagnosed with candidiasis, although she has never had problems with thrush.
Included in her symptoms are headaches, dizziness, feeling as if her brain was swollen, fatigue, muscular pain on especially shoulders, neck, and upper back, very intense cravings for sweet stuff and bread, mild depression and wicked mood swings, etc.
The symptoms seem to come and go, so she is still not 100% sure that candida is her problem (the naturopath used something called a Vega machine to diagnose her).
Still, she is sure if it is not that, then she has got some serious intolerance problems, but she will give this treatment a go first.
She has been on antifungals for about 2 weeks (one to go) and keeps trying to do the candida diet, but she is having a hell of a time because she is a vegetarian and going low carb just seems almost impossible.
She wonders if I can give her some ideas for vegetarian candida diet.
A friend of mine is also a vegetarian who has a difficult time following the diet.
But, she keeps in her mind that she doesn't have to be incredibly strict about it forever.
I am sure you eat a lot of vegetables anyway, but try to up it even more.
I think the macrobiotics diet is pretty safe for us.
Since you are vegetarian and may eat more simple carbs than others, it provides a healthy environment for candida to grow.
My friend has just started eating bread again, but only whole wheat.
She does a lot of whole wheat pitas as well and just started eating tofu and beans again, too.
She only went without these for a couple weeks, and is so happy to eat things she loves again.
Just do your best and remember that this diet will not be forever.
