Anxiety and Spicy Food

Spicy Food and Anxiety is a search term and has been used quite many times already.
Spicy food belongs to various cultures whereas in others it is completely unknown.
Spicing foods is also a question of the climate.
In fact, most spicy foods are eaten in hot countries.
Up to a certain point it is also a question of hygiene.
Hot drugs which give the spice food its note, are strongly disinfectant.
Nowadays that you can eat dishes of various cultures all over the globe, spicy food might become a problem.
If people are not used to eating spicy food, they might feel heat in their head and get scared.
These dishes not only heat up your head (makes blood flow towards your throat), bit they might also increase the heart rate.
As such, these physical signs are not dangerous.
However, in anxious people they may cause anxiety.
For people who have strong reactions to unusual food, it is certainly better to stick to their own cuisine.
Spicy meals may be enjoyed once in a while but should not become a habit if they are not part of your culture.
In our fast moving world, we can eat dishes of all cultures in the same place.
Let us take a big city.
You can find ethnic food in the stores and there are plenty of ethnic restaurants around Food and culture are important factors in our lives.
When people started moving around, expatriating and going to far away countries, they always took their own eating habits with them.
They were used to them and did not want to eat other foods.
They were probably right.
Their system was used to their food.
They then started mixing with the local population.
That meant all sorts of changes.
They got used to eating other foods, they got used to seeing other cereal and fruit crops.
As they no longer had the possibility to stick to their own eating culture, they started mixing it with that of the place they had come to.
Other food stuff was available and in the course of the years and decades people got used to these new habits.
The change of habits took place slowly.
In our times, this is no longer the case.
Habits can be changed within a short period of time.
This is good news but it is also bad news.
It depends on the field you are relating to.
If we look again at anxiety and spicy food, you might ask yourself the question whether spicy food really belongs to your culture.
If it does not, just disregard it.
Do not eat it.
You help yourself to not suffer anxiety attacks.
At least not attacks due to spicy food.
In fact, whenever you note something that causes you anxiety, try to avoid it.
These simple steps can help you live a more tranquil life.
If anxiety comes up, it will not have been caused by spicy food.
