IX. - The wrath of man bounded by the power of God. Surely, the wrath of man shall praise thee; the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain. - Psal. Ixxvi. 10.

X. - The name of God glorified in Christ. My name is in him. - Exod xxiii. 21.

XI. - The tabernacle of David ruined by man, and reared up by the mighty God. Ver. 8.--Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord. Ver. 9.--For lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel, among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sive, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. Ver. 10.--All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, the evil shall not overtake, nor prevent us. In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof, and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old. - Amos ix. 11.

XII. - The annals of redeeming love, with the Redeemer's vengeance upon the grand enemy of the redeemed. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. - Isa. Ixiii. 4.

XIII.- The sovereignty of Zion's King. Yet have I set my King upon my holy hill of Zion. - Psal. ii. 6.

XIV. - Christ the resurrection, and the life. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life. - John xi. 25.

The "Works of Ebenezer Erskine," volume three, contains:

I. A Lamp ordained for God's Anointed. Psa. cxxxii. 17. - I have ordained a lamp for mine Anointed.

II. The Angel's seal set upon God's faithful servants, when hurtful winds are blowing in the church militant. Rev. vii. 1. 2. 3.-- And, after these things, I saw four Angels, standing on the four corners of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another Angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, hurt not the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

III. Christ considered as the nail fastened in a sure place, bearing all the glory of his father's house. Psa. Xx. 5.--In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. Is. xxii. 24 - And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his Father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity: from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.

IV. A Robbery committed, and Restitution made both to God and man. Psa. Ixix. 4 Then I restored that which I took not away.

V. Worthless man much regarded by the mighty God. Psa. cxliv. 3 - Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him? or the son of man, that thou makest account of him?

VI. The human nature preferred unto the angelical. Heb. ii. 15. - For -verify he took not on him the nature of angels? but, be took on him the seed of Abraham.

VII. The broken law magnified and made honourable. Is. xliii. 21. - The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

VIII. The wise Virgins going forth to meet the Bridegroom. Matt. xxv. 6 - And at mid-night there was a cry made, behold, the Bridegroom cometh: go ye forth to meet him.

IX. The New Testament Ark opened against the deluge of divine wrath. Heb. xi. 7. - By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house.

X. The plant of renown. Ezek. xxxiv. 29 - And I will raise up for them a plant of renown.

XI. God's doves flying to his windows. Is. lx. 8.-- Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as doves to their windows.

XII. Christ set up from everlasting. Prov. viii. 23 - I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

XIII. Abraham rejoicing to see Christ's day afar off. John viii. 56.--Your father, Abraham, rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it and was glad.

XIV. Christ, as the breaker, opening all passes to glory that were impassible. Micah ii. 13. - The breaker is come up before them; they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it; and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord (or Jehovah) on the head of them.

XV. Ethiopia stretching out her hands to God. Psal. Ixviii. 31 - Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

XVI. The kingdom of God within the soul of man. Luke xvii. 21. - For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

XVII. Gospel treasure in earthen vessels. 2 Cor. iv. 7 - But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

XVIII. The character of a faithful minister of Christ. Col. i. 7 Epaphras, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ.

XIX. Christ in the clouds, coming to judgment. Matt. xvi. 37. - Then shall he reward every man according to his works.

XX. The word of salvation. Acts xii 16. - To you is the word of salvation sent.
