How to Shut Down the Engine of a Kubota Tractor

    Safety Shut Off on 2000 and Newer Models

    • 1). Park the tractor at the desired parking area.

    • 2). Put the PTO lever in the neutral position and engage the neutral lock switch lever located on the side of the shifter stick.

    • 3). Press in the tractor's clutch pedal and two parking brake pedals on the floor. Flip up the parking brake lock under the brake pedals.

    • 4). Push the gear shifter stick into neutral, and let your feet off the pedals.

    • 5). Stand up on the tractor to leave the seat. The tractor's engine will automatically shut down.

    Normal Shut Off

    • 1). Park the tractor at the desired parking area.

    • 2). Put the PTO lever in neutral position and engage the neutral lock switch lever located on the side of the PTO lever.

    • 3). Push in the clutch pedal on the tractor located to the left of the two brake pedals on the floor.

    • 4). Shift the tractor's gear shifting stick into the park position.

    • 5). Release the clutch pedal. Turn the ignition key to the off position and remove it.
