How to Sign up for AT&T Phone Features
- 1). Click on the "Explore" button on the top left-hand side of the AT&T wireless website, then click on the 'Wireless' button. Select 'Wireless Basics' from the drop-down menu and select the 'Choosing Features And Services' button for information on current phone features, such as call forwarding, call waiting, long distance, mobile to mobile, caller ID and three-way calling.
- 2). Click on the feature you want to learn more about and carefully follow the instructions for activating the feature on your phone. This information also includes instructions as per your phone type as well as instructions for former AT&T Wireless customers who still want the feature on their phone, if applicable. To sign up for call forwarding on a GSM phone, for example, scroll through the menu on your phone and select 'Settings.' Scroll down that menu and select 'Call Settings', select 'Forward', then scroll down to select the forwarding option that works best for you, such as 'Forward All Calls' or 'Forward When Available.' Select 'Ok' to complete the process.
- 3). Log in or register for an AT&T online account. You must be an AT&T Local Service customer and have a user ID and password in order to change calling features regarding local phone service.
