Which Diesel Pressure Washer Is Right For You?

It is common for a business to need a diesel pressure washer for multiple cleaning applications. Any time a diesel pressure washer is needed, there are tough cleaning jobs ahead. These washers are used at construction sites, all through the building industry, and even at mining sites.

Diesel pressure washers can be used in any business and by finding the right model, you'll be able to ensure that areas within your business are kept as clean as possible. Diesel units are designed to handle those more difficult and tougher cleaning jobs where traditional methods become too time consuming or simply don't work. However, there are also models that are built with a lower PSI that are still able to effectively remove problem substances and reduce cleaning times by half, but that are more suitable for everyday applications.

Here are some questions to ask yourself when deciding on which diesel pressure washer is going to work best for your business:

1. Where will the pressure washer be used? Diesel pressure washers do expel a certain degree of exhaust. Therefore, if you are looking to clean well-ventilated areas such as a warehouse, parking lot, factory floor, or walkways that are heavily soiled then a diesel pressure washer would make the ideal cleaning tool for you.

2. What types of substances will be removed? Debris can be moved fast and hard to where you need it to go with the right pressure and right flow. It does not take a lot of pressure to move small debris. However, there are times when thick glues, tar, and very viscous adhesives may adhere to an area where they do not belong. Trying to scrape these substances away usually does not prove successful. The pressure and the flow of a pressure washer can literally chip it away until it is gone and the surface is clean. If dealing with these types of substances, it is a good idea to have a diesel pressure cleaner of 3000 PSI or above and a flow of at least 15 litres per minute.

3. Do I require the washer to be used in multiple applications? If there are applications in which you need lower pressure than others, there is a solution. For example, a 5000 PSI machine can be increased to 6500 PSI with a simple turbo nozzle. That way if you find that 5000 is not enough, you can increase the PSI to 6500 to get the results you need.

4. What am I spending on other cleaning equipment and supplies? Evaluate what you are using in supplies and other equipment so that you can compare the cost to that of a diesel pressure washer. Diesel washers are known to for last years, so factor in at least 5 years of cleaning equipment and supplies. If you use a cleaning service, figure the cost of the contract on an annual basis and compare. Diesel power cleaners that contain turbo nozzles will enable the washer to be used in even more applications than if it had just the single setting.

The diesel pressure washer is known for durability, longevity, and power. Because businesses have multiple areas that must be cleaned, it is important to look at the power of each pressure cleaner and the ability to change its pressure when a job calls for it. Furthermore, looking at what needs to be removed and where it needs to be removed from will help you determine what degree of pressure is appropriate, thus which machine will get the job done.
