A Lesson In Eating
The mid section is the hardest thing to work on for me.
Having a history of being an overweight, I went through a lot of sports just to shed some weight.
Losing weight without proper knowledge is really hard to do.
Yes I thought sweating a lot was the key back then.
I didn't know that I needed to exert more effort than what I used to do back then.
For seven years I've been struggling with my weight.
It's been going up and down.
It's just later when I was 18 that I researched and tried running every week end after school.
I'd run for three km every Saturday and Sunday morning.
But later, my weight fluctuated again because of the food that I'm eating.
My eating problems were my issue ever since.
I decreased my height because I wasn't eating the right food.
It's only at age 21 that I realized what I've been doing back then was wrong and I wasted valuable time.
What my main problem all along was eating.
My activities we're OK.
What's wrong is I wasn't supplying my body with the right nutrition.
Ever since turning 21, I've always been looking at the ingredients and nutrition of the food that I'm eating.
I know it may seem obsessive, but my mind set was to maintain the shape that I'm in.
I occasionally eat junk.
But I limit it small amounts just to remove the cravings.
One common lesson that I learn after reading articles and advices is to eat the veggies and fruits.
I know people have been neglecting.
I haven't been doing that back then.
The effects of not eating fruits and veggies take a toll on a body because the nutrients are less.
I used to eat greasy food and it just gave me pimples which I really hated.
Yes those foods taste a lot better.
But they certainly don't even give 10% of what a veggie or a fruit can give you.
I learned that I should have listened to my mom and dad when they made me eat veggies.
Ever since I took it seriously, I managed to feel better about myself.
Everything really starts from what you're eating.
I just hope if you're a kid reading this article right now, learn from what I written.
If you're a parent, never forget to give your child an advice of healthy eating.
