Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Langford, British Columbia is 15 miles west of Victoria. According to the City's official website, Langford is a growing community of 25,000 residents as of 2009 and though recently incorporated, the settlement can be traced back to the mid 1800s. Visitors may enjoy several trails located within city limits or the numerous regional parks in the local area. Accommodations can also be found in nearby Victoria. - A three room inn overlooking Glen Lake and bordering the Galloping Goose Trail, Cycle-Inn serves a complimentary breakfast daily of fresh baked muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee and tea for guests. Complimentary wireless Internet access, a dock with a ladder for swimming in the lake, and a variety of boats and bicycles are available for guests to use during their stay. Two of the three rooms use a shared bathroom featuring a bath with air jets and chromatherapy and for ecological reasons, linens are changed on request and at the end of each stay. Glen Lake is stocked with trout for visitors who wish to fish and nature lovers will enjoy the wildlife such as a grey heron, a family of otters, kingfishers, owls, bats and bald headed eagles living near the lake.
