How to Get a Temporary Visa

1). Find Out What Type of Visa You Need. Some countries don't require for you to obtain a visa unless you'll be there a certain length of time. While other countries require that you get a visa no matter how long you plan to be there.
2). Decide what type of visa you will need. If you will be working in the country, you will need a work visa. That includes any type of business you will be conducting or if you plan to obtain a job while in the country. If you will be taking classes or competing in sports, you will need a student visa or a temporary resident visa.
3). Obtain a Visa Application Kit. Read through the visa application guide to make sure you're eligible for the visa. Once you're done, fill out the application.
4). Include the Necessary Information. Complete your visa application by including two passport pictures, which can be ordered anywhere film is developed; a valid travel document, such as a passport; and the application fee. Depending on where you are going, you may also need to include other things, like an identification card and proof of where you'll be living and working.
5). Send It In and Wait For a Response. Make sure you have everything you need for your application. Send it in and wait for a response, which can take anywhere from two weeks to two months. Apply the visa to your passport – or other instructions provided.
6). Leave the Country. Get on the plane, boat or vehicle and take off. Enjoy your trip!
