How to Update a Compasseo 600
- 1). Go to the Speedcam Updates website. Use the drop-down menus to choose "Packard Bell" followed by "Packard Bell Compasseo 600." Choose whether you want to update the database for an entire continent or just one country.
- 2). Use the drop-down menu that appears to choose the area or country you want. Enter your email address and choose whether you want to pay by credit card or PayPal account. Click "Continue." Fill in your payment information and click "Continue" to purchase the update.
- 3). Go to your email in-box and open the email from Speedcam Updates. Click the link inside the email to download the update file.
- 4). Right-click the file folder and choose "Open." This extracts the folder's contents. Right-click the files in the folder and click "Copy." Connect the Compasseo 600 to the computer with the cable included with the device.
- 5). Open "My Computer" and find the Compasseo 600. Double-click the Compasseo 600 icon. Paste the files into the ./DestinatorApps/Destinator/Common/Favorites folder.
- 6). Disconnect the Compasseo from the computer. Power on the GPS and run the "Destinator" application that is installed on the device. Open the "Manage Favorites" option and choose to enable speedcam icons.
- 7). Select the option to be warned about approaching cameras twice. For the first option, choose "400," and then choose "100" for the second. These numbers indicate how many meters away you are from the camera.
