  Adventure tours in Dubai take visitors on tours across miles of desert land with views of some of the largest sand dunes in the world. Travel and tourism companies offer dozens of opportunities to safari across Dubai deserts in off-road vehicles and, for more adventurous tourists, right on the backs of camels. Other adventure tours available in Dubai include sandboarding, skiing and swimming with whales at dolphin bay at the Atlantis Resort.
  
  

City Smart Tours

• Visitors to Dubai who are looking for an outdoor adventure can choose from one of several tours offered by City Smart Tours, which has been offering tours of Dubai since 2005. Tourists on the Desert Safari and BBQ Dinner tour are escorted through the dunes of the Dubai desert in Hummers and 4x4 trucks while learning about Dubai history, including tales of the Bedouins and sampling local cuisine. The six-hour tour ends with dinner, music and entertainment. City Smart Tours also offers safari tours with camel riding and sand boarding on the Murgham dunes, which are among the tallest in the world. City Smart also offers a Hatta Trek, Dubai City Tour and Wild Wadi, a water theme park. In 2010, rates for City Smart Tours safaris began at $55 USD per hour.
  
  

North Tours

• Offering a wide array of city and adventure tours, North Tours owns and operates its own desert camp sites, cruise boats, hummers and luxury tour buses. Tourists can embark on either the morning, evening or overnight safaris, where they will be escorted through spectacular dunes in off-road ready vehicles. The overnight safari features dancing, entertainment and food surrounded by lush dunes under the desert sky. North Tours provides sleeping bags, lanterns and mattresses and a complimentary breakfast and coffee. The Hatta Safari includes a drive through Hajar Mountain trails, canyons and the Hatta Heritage Village. Tourists can also take part in the sand and snow skiing tour where they can go sand boarding on the dunes or skiing at the indoor Ski Dubai, located inside the Mall of the Emirates.
  
  

One World Travel

• Tourists can choose from over a dozen Dubai tours through One World Travel, which not only offers tourist activities but will also aid in purchasing airfare and hotel accommodations. Tourists can embark on a horseback riding tour which begins at the Equestrian Club Stables and takes tourists through Mushrif Park, a Dubai national park. Tour guides provide detailed descriptions of the park's wildlife and desert terrain and riders have the opportunity to groom their horses on return to the stable. Tourists can choose from the two-hour, nine-hour, full moon or half-day horseback riding experience. As of 2010, rates for the horseback riding tours begin at $65 USD per person. One World Travel also offers a swim with dolphin's at Atlantis hotel tour where visitors can interact with dolphins or swim alongside them in Dolphin Bay. Rates for the dolphin adventures begin at $178 USD per person.
