- Turmeric reduces excess stomach acid and protects the lining of the stomach by stimulating mucus production.
- Turmeric is used to treat upset stomachs, flatulence, ulcers and constipation.
- After a meal, make a turmeric dessert: add a teaspoon of ground turmeric to plain yogurt or warm milk. The spice can also be ingested as a supplement or in dishes such as curries, soups and salads.
