Forestburg is set outside of Edmonton and is a small village in Alberta, Canada. It was first settled in 1905 and soon after became a coal mining town along the banks of the Battle River. This town of just under 900 residents has a nine-hole golf course, an outdoor pool and hot tub, tennis courts, hockey and curling arenas. Finding a place to stay will not be in the city limits, but hotels are located nearby. - The Irma Motel offers its guests kitchenette rooms or just the standard room with microwave and refrigerator. Wireless Internet, cable television, coffee makers and free local calls also are available. The motel is close to many restaurants and bars so dining will not be a problem. Guests will find everything from pizza to Chinese cuisine within walking distance. The motel sits just outside of Edmonton and only 15 minutes from Forestburg.
