  Agadir is southwest Morocco city on the Atlantic Ocean that provides tourists with opportunities for beach activities and boating trips. This resort city was the site of the Agadir Crisis between France and Germany, which resulted in the French ruling Morocco during the early 20th century. Although Morocco is now its own sovereign state, certain aspects of Agadir, such as luxury hotels and language, are still heavily influenced by Europe's presence in the area.

• Sofitel is a beachfront hotel in the southern end of Agadir, a five-minute drive from the Royal Mirage Agadir, a casino that offers gaming opportunities and live entertainment. The hotel is also less than five minutes from the Souk Elhad, a marketplace that sells souvenir items and fresh produce. This marketplace is always closed on Mondays, according to the Agadir Travel Guide. Sofitel features a spa that offers two outdoor swimming pools, massage therapies and an exercise center. • The northern Agadir Oasis Hotel offers amenities that include an outdoor swimming pool, playground for children, movie theater and the Oasis Spa, which offers massage therapies and hair salon.
