A Revolution of the Mind

Recently in a few discussions I had with several people talking about the current state of our social system, I find myself feeling a sense of disappointment when I am presented with someone who is supposedly awake to the reality of the situation each and every one of us faces today. The idea as they presented to me is that essentially the only solution is to form a revolution that will over throw the current system of control. This means war, misery and death and as it seems, no thought of what to do after the dust settles.

I find these ideas not to be best solution to the problem and the reality of it is that these are the very same ideas that have been perpetuated throughout history and have brought no positive attributes to the benefit of mankind as a whole and they are far from revolutionary even in suggestion.

Indeed a revolution does have to happen in order for the human race to advance as a species but I believe it is a revolution of the mind that is needed and a realization of what we the people united as one are actually capable of, also the realization of what is possible right now given the current state of technology.

Under the current tyrannical regime there is a solution, you simply start to make the system obsolete by investing your funds in solar power for example, you can invest in water filtration systems, you grow your own food free from all the dangerous crud, you invest in livestock. In other words get self-sufficient. Why should the basic necessities of life cost money to even begin with? This kind of approach will cripple the system at a very fast rate while we intentionally preserve the parts we need i.e. communication, hospitals etc. Eventually this approach has the potential of making a monetary system obsolete, the reaction of this begins to remove many issues which proliferate throughout our world.

95% percent of crime is down to people not having enough to survive, there goes all that crime. The notion of money related corruption would not exist. The erroneous idea of a class system and even inequality in regards to over 1 billion people living abject poverty so that western parts of the world can supposedly live a better life.

Ultimately the solutions people need cannot be found under a monetary or a political system this is indeed a fact and it's an intrinsic choice people have to make, you choose a profoundly sick society or you choose to get in-line with nature. It really is that simple, as I said it is a revolution of the mind that is needed.
