Toronto Beaches Lions Annual Easter Parade

For over 40 years East Toronto has enjoyed a parade celebrating Easter and the beginning of spring.

Now officially sponsored by the Lions Club in the Beach neighborhood, Toronto's Easter Parade runs along Queen Street West. Themes of the floats and marchers may not always relate directly to Easter, but it's all good fun.
  • Sunday March 31, 2013
  • The parade begins at 2pm and lasts approximately two hours
  • Route runs from Munro Park Avenue, west along Queen Street to Woodbine Avenue

Toronto Zoo Easter "Egg" Stravaganza

The Easter "Egg" Stravaganza returns to the zoo! From Good Friday to Easter Monday you can follow clues along the Zoo trails to see featured animals, learn about "unconventional eggs in the animal kingdom", listen to keeper talks, and pose with the zoo's two Giant Panda mascots.

National Service Dogs Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs

This annual fundraiser for the National Service Dogs of Canada invites dogs and their families to register, collect pledges, then come out and hunt for plastic Easter Eggs with dog treats and other possible prizes inside.

Easter Traditions at Colborne Lodge

Families will explore what Easter was like in the 19th century, including coloring eggs with natural dyes and spotting eggs during tours. Free with admission.

Spring Egg Fun at Colborne Lodge

Egg hunts, egg dyeing using natural. $3 per child for the egg hunt, $1 per child for egg dyeing.

Easter Egg Painting Workshop at Todmorden Mills

"Learn this ancient Ukrainian art form. Create your own personalized pysanky (Easter eggs) using traditional wax resist techniques" (children must be 6 and up and accompanied by an adult). $10 for adults, $5 for children (plus HST).

Puck's Farm Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Located north-west of Toronto in Schomberg, Puck's Farm invites families to come out not only to hunt for eggs, but also to visit with the animals and enjoy pony rides, horse-drawn hay rides, and "the amazing maze". Visit the website to print off a coupon for one free admission (limit one per family, not valid on Good Friday).

NO Easter Event on Centre Island in 2013

Unfortunately with Easter being so early this year, there is no Easter event planned for Center Island. Centre Island will open on re-open for the summer on May 4. Visit www.centreisland.ca for more details.
