How to Eliminate Stress From Your Life

The first thing you must do if you want to eliminate stress from your life is to change the thoughts that you are having. The best way to do this is by concentrating on the moment at hand. If your mind is not looking into the past or future, it will not focus on past stressful events or the uncertainty of the future.

So how does someone go about only concentrating on the present without the past or future creeping into their mind? The way to start could be as simple as doing something as simple as going for a walk and taking notice of what is going around you. Just taking the time to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of a place can ground you in the present. To take this a step further, mediation is a great way to train yourself to live in the present.

If you want to see a very good example of someone living in the moment, you only have to look at young children. They do not care about the past or future, of course they do not have the stress that adults have in their everyday life, But when they do get upset they quickly get over what upset them and moves on to something else.

If their toy gets broken they may cry and throw a tantrum because they want a new one but then they will get over it and pick up a new one and carry on playing. They will be crying one minute and laughing the next, because they have forgotten why they were crying in the first place.

How can this happen, it is simple. The child is living in the present moment. Because of this the kid can live an easy-going, free-spirited and happy life. You are able to regain this child like response. It doesn't mean you behave immature or become child like. You just have to redevelop the ability you had has a child to move on despite any setbacks.

When you can do this you will forget what has stressed you out and enable you to enjoy what is in front of you. All that is required is that you become aware of yourself and your immediate surroundings so that you can appreciate everything.
