How to Copy a Boot Image From a CD in XP
- 1). Download and install MagicISO. (See Resources.) Double-click the desktop icon to launch the application.
- 2). Insert the CD that you want to make a boot image from.
- 3). Click "Tools," then "Make ISO from CD/DVD-ROM" from the options.
- 4). Click the folder icon next to "Output File" and choose a folder for your boot disc image to be stored in.
- 5). Click "OK" to make the image.
- 1). Download and install ISO Recorder. (See Resources.)
- 2). Double-click "My Computer," then insert the disc that you want to make a boot image from.
- 3). Right-click the disc and click "Create image from CD."
- 4). Designate a folder for your ISO boot disc image to be stored and then the disc imaging process will begin.
- 1). Download and install ImgBurn. (See Resources.)
- 2). Insert the disc that you want to make a boot image from, into your optical drive.
- 3). Click "Start," then "All Programs," then "ImgBurn."
- 4). Click "Create image file from disc."
- 5). Click the folder icon next to "Destination" and choose a location for your disc image to be stored. Click the Image button (in the bottom-left of the program).
