- 1). Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the desktop. From the pull-up menu click "Run." This loads a small search window with a single search bar.
- 2). Type "Regedit" (without the quotation marks). The command opens the Windows Registry editor.
- 3). Select the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder. A slew of other program files appears from this single file.
- 4). Open the folder "Software" followed by "Microsoft," then "Windows," "CurrentVersion," "Run," "IEXPLORER"="%System," and select "iexplorer.exe."
- 5). Press the "delete" button and you are asked if you are sure you want to remove the file. Click "OK."
- 6). Open file "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" followed by "Software" and delete the folder "mmtest."
- 7). Close out the registry editor and restart the computer.
