Pretence - Not For Christians

It isn't worth the effort for Christians to pretend about who they are.
Avoid dramatizing what you are not.
It's important that our outward carriage be representative of our substance and not our status or other people's perception of who we seem to be.
Remember that God's domain of perception isn't on the outward; it is on the inside.
Samuel's interpretative understanding of Jesse's offspring had its anchor on the outward.
That gave the lie to his wish for the kingship selection from among David's siblings.
Dignity, aristocracy and authority were broadly evident in the postures of all the sons of Jesse excepting David's.
He was juvenile.
Yet the true substance was in his disregarded mien.
The verity of this was undisguised when Goliath appeared for the war showdown with the Israelites.
All but the young David would rather, if it were possible, avoid standing face to face with the man of Gath.
In David resided the solid and stolid grit and faith in God to perform the task.
With bare hands, he had killed a lion and a bear.
He was ready though to our external perception he was short of armor and armory.
Get ready and God gets you through your desired accomplishment.
When your outward determination meets your internal preparedness you can be sure your shine will emerge.
Don't pretend.
Exhibit the man you are.
The way to do this, in the main, is to show your associative inclination with the Trinity.
They say, "show me your friend and I know the man you are.
" Jesus is your friend and your sphere of relationship with Him is God.
Be convinced and coast home without struggle.
