Nova Scotia has a full range of quality RV parks to handle the influx of tourists. - The closest campground to the North Sydney ferry to Newfoundland, the Arm of Gold Campground is a 40-acre RV park that overlooks Nova Scotia's largest lake, Bras d'Or. The park was opened in 1973, and has since been renovated to meet modern RV park standards. Visitors can take advantage of walking trails with wildlife viewing, a playground for children, horseshoes pits, shuffleboard courts, fire pits and a full laundry facility. The campground also has an activity center with a meeting hall, game room, whirlpools, a kitchenette and an exercise room. The RV sites are full hook-ups with either 30- or 50-amp electric. Campers can also opt to stay on tent sites or in cabins. Restrooms and showers are on property, and free Wi-Fi Internet access is available.

The campground has RV sites that can handle large rigs and have 50-amp electric available. RVs are also available for rent at the campground, and the park has tent sites and cabins. Recreational facilities at the park include a swimming pool, bicycle rental and fishing in the river. A playground, pool table, arcade games, horseshoes and basketball courts are additional recreation options. Firewood can be purchased on the grounds. Free wireless Internet is available, and has modem data ports for no charge.

koa.com - The Woodhaven RV Park is in the Halifax city limits, and minutes away from the attractions in the city's waterfront area. The park has 200 sites for RVs and tents, including 137 that are complete hook-ups and come with either 15-, 30- or 50-amp electric. The park has 33 more sites that have just electric and water. Of the 200 sites, 54 are pull-throughs. Amenities included bathrooms, showers, two laundry facilities and two dump stations. For recreational enjoyment, the campground has a pool, playground, horseshoes and a recreation hall with games rooms. Picnic tables are scattered around the property, and the park has a camp store where firewood, ice and RV supplies can be purchased. This campground is one of the first in Nova Scotia to provide wireless Internet.
